Summer Peach No-­‐Jito Mocktail

  • 1 oz Shrub Drinks Summer Peach Shrub
  • 3 Key Limes, quartered
  • 8 Fresh Mint Leaves
  • Ginger Ale

Muddle the key lime quarters and mint leaves in cocktail shaker. Add ice and the
Peach Shrub. Shake, shake, shake. Strain into an ice-filled, tall glass and top with
ginger ale.

¡Ay, Caramba! A Spicy Mocktail

      • ½ oz Shrub Drinks Tomatillo Lime Serrano Shrub
      • 3 Grape Tomatoes
      • 2, ½ inch slices English Cucumber, chopped
      • 3 dashes Hot Sauce (or to taste) use your favorite
      • ½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
      • Pinch Salt
      • Kosher salt for rim of glass

 

Muddle the tomatoes, and chopped cucumbers together in a cocktail shaker. Add remaining ingredients and shake with ice for 1 minute. This is important for proper dilution. Taste and adjust seasoning. Strain into salt rimmed glass.
This delight can be served “up” or on the rocks – You decide!

  • ½ oz Shrub Drinks Tomatillo Lime Serrano
  • 5 segments of a fresh Clementine, Tangerine or Mandarin
  • ½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • Club Soda or Seltzer

Muddle the citrus segments in a cocktail shaker. Add the Tomatillo Lime Serrano Shrub and lime juice. Add ice to the shaker and shake well. Strain over ice into an old fashioned glass, and top off with club soda or seltzer.

Serve and sip this great summer cooler to your heart’s content!

ALG White Wine Sangria

  • 6 oz Shrub Drinks Apple Lemon Ginger Shrub
  • 12 oz favorite Dry White Wine
  • Red, Green and Yellow Apple, sliced or diced
  • 16 oz your favorite Ginger Ale
  • 2 oz Candied Ginger, chopped
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Combine ingredients in large glass pitcher, except ginger ale. Stir and let sit in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to combine flavors Then add 16 oz of chilled Ginger Ale. Serve in a tall glass, over ice if desired. Spoon some of the fruit into the glass and enjoy! Delish!

Texas Ruby

The recipe for this drink may showcase our luscious Texas Ruby Red Grapefruit flavor, but it comes to us all the way from Illinois. We’re told it was created by her friend Sara, especially for a party she hosted with our friend Margaret Stec. We hear it was a smash.

  • 1/2 oz* Texas Ruby Red Grapefruit Shrub Drinks
  • 1 1/2 oz Rye Whiskey
  • 1/2 to 3/4 oz* Fresh Lemon Juice
  • *adjust to taste

Combine ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well. Strain into double old fashioned glass over ice and serve with a lemon twist.

Texas Prickly Pear Margarita

  • 3/4 to 1 oz Shrub Drinks Texas Prickly Pear Shrub
  • 2 oz Tequila (your favorite)
  • 2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz Cointreau

Combine all four ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well. Pour into salt rimmed (optional) glass. Garnish with a slice of lime.

La Cereza (Mexican Cherry)

In a Collins glass, combine the ingredients. Stir well. Add ice. A nice long drink.

  • 1 1/2 – 2 oz Rum
  • Mexican Coca Cola

Fill Collins glass with ice, pour rum over, add shrub – stir gently. Fill with Coca Cola. A nice long drink.

  • 1 1/2 oz Vodka
  • 4 oz Fresh Orange Juice
  • 4 oz Fresh Cranberry Juice

In a Collins glass, combine the ingredients. Stir well. Add ice. A nice long drink.

The A-L-G Winter Warm-Up

  • 1 part Shrub Drinks Apple Lemon Ginger Shrub
  • 4 parts water
  • lemon slice for garnish

Stir together a 1 to 4 mix of shrub and water in a heatproof mug.

Microwave until hot. Add lemon and enjoy.

Big Chief – Our Shandy Recipe

  • 2 oz Shrub Drinks Apple Lemon Ginger Shrub
  • 8 oz cold Hefeweizen or Pale Ale of choice
  • squeeze of fresh lemon juice

Put 2 oz of Shrub Drinks ALG into a chilled beer mug or glass. Top off with cold Hefeweizen or Pale Ale of choice and add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Stir and enjoy!

  • 3/4 oz Shrub Drinks Texas Prickly Pear Shrub
  • 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 4 – 6 dashes orange bitters

Combine ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain into a Martini glass.

    • 1/2 oz Shrub Drinks Strawberry Balsamic Black Pepper Shrub
    • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice

Combine the ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well. Strain into chilled ice filled double fashion glass. Garnish with strawberries dusted with black pepper if desired.

  • 2 oz small batch Rye Bourbon
  • 1 oz fresh squeeze orange juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh squeeze lemon juice
  • 2 shakes lemon bitters
  • fresh mint & orange peel twist

Combine the first four ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well. Strain into Collins glass over ice – add bitters, bruised with mint and orange twist.

  • 1 oz Shrub Drinks Strawberry Balsamic Black Pepper Shrub
  • 1/2 oz gin
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • Champagne / Prosecco / Cava
  • Various berries for garnish

Combine the first three ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well. Strain into a champagne flute. Top with your sparkler. Garnish with berries.

A Tuscan twist on the classic French 75.

  • 1 1/2 oz Tequila
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

Combine the ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker.
Shake well. Pour over ice in old fashioned glass or coupe rimmed with guajillo chile powder (optional).
Garnish with a slice of lime.

Loop 410 Whiskey Sour

  • ¾ -1 ounce Shrub DrinksLoquat Shrub
  • 2 ounces Buffalo Trace Kentucky Bourbon
  • ¼ fresh Lemon, squeezed, then dropped into shaker
  • 1 sprig fresh Mint
Combine first three ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into chilled old fashioned class.  (Big ice cube optional.) Add a bruised sprig of mint.

Loquatomy

  • ¾-1 ounce Shrub DrinksLoquat Shrub
  • 2 ounces Caña Brava Panamanian Rum (or other light rum or rhum agricole)
  • 2 dashes Orange Bitters
  • ¼ fresh Lime, squeezed, then dropped into shaker
  • Orange wheel, or swath, garnish

Combine the first three ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into chilled old fashioned glass. Garnish with orange wheel or swath of orange peel twisted to release oils and dropped into glass. Serve up or over ice, as you like.

Aconcagua

  • ¾-1 ounce Shrub Drinks Loquat Shrub
  • 2 ounces Peruvian Pisco Portón
  • Juice of ¼ fresh lemon
  • Dash Angostura Bitters
  • Swath of lemon peel

Combine the first three ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into chilled coupe or chilled old fashioned glass—over big ice, if desired. Garnish with slab of lemon peel twisted to release oils and dropped into glass.

  • ¾-1 ounce Shrub DrinksTexas Ruby Red Grapefruit Shrub
  • 1 ½ ounce Tequila Cabeza or other blanco tequila
  • ½ ounce Combier or other dry, orange liqueur
  • Dash Celery Bitters
  • ¼ fresh lime

Combine the first four ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker. Squeeze and drop into shaker ¼ fresh lime. Shake well. Strain into chilled coupe, salted rim and wedge of additional lime optional.

  • fresh, ripe pear (a wedge)
  • ¾-1 ounce Shrub DrinksPear & Ginger Shrub
  • 1 ½ ounce Old Overholt Rye Whiskey
  • ½ Canton Ginger Liqueur
  • Juice of ¼ fresh lemon
  • 1 squirt soda (from Soda Stream or a splash of your favorite bottled soda—or a splash of ginger beer)
  • Piece of candied ginger

Muddle pear wedge in cocktail shaker. Add remaining four ingredients with ice to shaker. Shake to combine. Double strain into chilled Collins glass (over big ice, if desired). Add a squirt or splash of soda. Garnish with skewered piece of candied ginger.

  • ¾-1 ounce Shrub Drinks Pear & Ginger Shrub
  • 2 ounces St. George or other London gin
  • ¼ to ½ Ounce Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
  • Juice of ¼ fresh lemon
  • 1 swath of lemon zest

Add first four ingredients to cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well. Strain into chilled coupe and garnish with lemon swath, twisted to release oils and dropped into glass.

  • 2 ounces white or light rum
  • ¼ ounce Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
  • ¼ fresh Lime, squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon Pomegranate Molasses
  • Luxardo maraschino cherry

Combine all ingredients with ice in cocktail shaker. Shake well. Strain into chilled old fashioned glass. Garnish with Luxardo maraschino cherry.
